POSITION PURPOSE:
The Director, Talent Acquisition is responsible for developing and managing the talent acquisition strategy, process and recruitment of staff for the entire organization, including for the Los Angeles, New York and Local offices around the country. The director is responsible to design a multi-faceted strategy that will ensure the continuous recruitment of exceptional qualified talent for all levels of the organization. The director will align the talent acquisition strategy with organizational and employee development goals and objectives. The director will serve as the expert advisor for hiring managers, and will provide guidance to hiring managers and candidates through the entire selection process by performing full lifecycle recruiting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop a robust, multi-faceted recruitment strategy that will ensure a steady stream of qualified candidates for all organizational levels.
• Manage the full cycle recruiting process and recruitment staff to meet the staffing goals of the organization.
• Act as an expert advisor to hiring managers on sourcing, interviewing and selection strategies and best practices.
• Partner with hiring managers to forecast and develop staffing plans, with an eye to both current and future needs and competencies.
• Manage the development process for job descriptions to ensure they are always complete, up to date and accurate.
• Ensure the alignment of the talent acquisition process with other relevant Human Resources employee programs.
• Establish relevant professional, industry and educational institution networks, and identify job boards, posting sites and appropriate social media to drive brand recognition and attract top talent.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with recruitment agencies and recruitment consultants.
• Ensure that applicant tracking processes and systems are effective, efficient and compliant with SAG-AFTRA policies and state and federal requirements.
• Develop, streamline and enhance staffing systems, reporting and analysis and develop best practice metrics to monitor and measure the performance of the talent acquisition function, as well as the organization's ability to retain top talent.
• Negotiate offer packages and draft offer letters for selected candidates.
• Manage the daily recruitment staff and ensure their continuous development
• Collaborate with other HR managers on special programs and projects
• Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Exceptional level of customer service and relationship management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to function and adapt in a high demand and rapidly changing environment.
• Very strong planning, prioritization, analytic and follow up skills.
• Strong knowledge of and experience with applicant tracking systems, internet recruitment sites and social media recruitment strategies.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of employment laws, diversity and outreach concepts and mechanisms, AA/EEO principles and their appropriate application in an employment setting.
• Superlative interpersonal skills; high degree of patience and tact. Must be able to cultivate respectful, strategic and collaborative relationships with people of diverse background both within the organization and externally.
• Hold yourself and others accountable for a high level of performance and integrity.
• Can operate effectively at both a strategic and a detailed level.
• Able to work effectively under pressure, and to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks under daily deadlines.
• Capable of taking direction from more than one manager in an environment where constructive feedback is encouraged.
• Able to use PC applications and accurately type 35 words per minute.
• Have an understanding and awareness of worker rights impacting SAG-AFTRA members.
• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG-AFTRA's sole discretion.
• Must be available and willing to work extended hours per day or per week, including weekends and holidays, as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary to meet its business needs.
• Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
and/or Experience:
• Bachelors' degree
• Minimum 7 years HR Generalist experience, with at least 4 in a talent acquisition managerial capacity
• Experience in a union environment preferred
Certificates, licenses, and/or registrations:
• PHR or SPHR preferred
