POSITION PURPOSE:
The position of Administrative Assistant I Member SerVices is to support the Broadcast membership department in outreach and service to Broadcasters. This includes preparing and distributing membership packets, correspondence, and processing applications and updating member information. This position compiles and maintains Broadcast communications lists and has direct contact with the members and also pertinent staff at the stations/networks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Process Broadcast applications.
- Compile and send Broadcast membership letters and application packets.
- Facilitate follow through with the application process and communication with Broadcasters.
- Communicate with Broadcast Shop Stewards and Station/Network Human Resource representatives.
- Compile and maintain Broadcast membership lists and spreadsheets.
- Compile and maintain Station lists and spreadsheets.
- Update membership information in databases.
- Meet with Broadcast employees at various shops as needed.
- Assist with special membership projects and answer general membership inquiries.
- Provide general administrative support to Associate National Director, Broadcast Member Services on particular assignments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
(The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.)
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Able to use PC applications.
- Must be able to accurately type 35 WPM.
- Detail oriented.
- Able to organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks under daily deadlines.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Capable of taking direction from more than one supervisor.
- Superlative interpersonal skills: high degree of patience and tact. Must be able to cultivate respectful, strategic and collaborative relationships with people from diverse backgrounds both internally and externally.
- Have an understanding and awareness of worker rights impacting SAG-AFTRA members.
- Hold yourself and others accountable for a high level of performance and integrity.
- Must be able to work in a challenging environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.
- Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAGĀ AFTRA's sole discretion.
- Must be available and willing to work extended hours (and/or overtime for applicable non- exempt positions) per day or per week, including weekends and holidays, as SAGĀ AFTRA determines is necessary to meet its business needs.
- Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
- College Degree and 1-4 years of relevant experience; or five plus years of relevant administrative and customer service experience with proven track record.
- Strong writing skills
