The New York On Camera Lab Technician will be responsible for setting up, conducting, breaking down, scheduling and tracking on-camera auditions in the SAG-AFTRA Foundation NY On Camera Lab. The OCLT assists SAG-AFTRA member performers with the on-camera audition process and delivers recorded content to the member at the end of each session.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
• Provides a helpful and efficient studio environment
• Sets up and tests equipment, tapes marks, and conducts QC
• Coordinates and conducts on-camera auditions for SAG-AFTRA member performers
• Maintains technical operations of studio equipment
• Enhances the studio resources or programming to better serve the educational needs of its users
• Manages member through SAG-AFTRA Foundation website bookings calendar system
• Proven Casting and/or Directing Experience Required
Internal Interactions:
• New York Computer Lab Administrator, National Director of Facilities & IT
External Interactions:
• Guests/Member users of The Studio
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• High level competence with AV recording equipment and technology (specifically the Sony NX-CAM, Panasonic HC-V520, and Sennheiser wireless microphones)
• Proficiency with studio Kino Flo Diva lighting equipment.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and FCPX
• Excellent teaching & directing skills
• Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented
• Ability to work in a very high paced environment
• Able to organize and coordinate multiple tasks under deadline
• Excellent interpersonal skills: high degree of patience and tact
• Ability to organize and expedite heavy workload efficiently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated interpretative and analytic ability
• Able to work independently
• Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG-AFTRA Foundation's sole discretion
