Job Purpose:
Develop and implement short and long term strategies & plans to drive overall revenue and profitability; increase attendance at Ryman and Opry House concerts; encourage consumer, partner, artist and community engagement; grow Ryman brand. Work with VP/GM to develop and implement special and proprietary projects and programming. Lead Ryman marketing and box office departments
Job Responsibilities:
Translate business objectives and strategies into actionable, integrated marketing programs across all disciplines including advertising, interactive, promotions and publicity. Evaluate programs to determine profitability and success rate, making recommendations as needed to improve performance.
Work closely with promoters, rental clients and artist teams to achieve success for all parties.
Work with VP/GM to develop, implement and manage special projects including live events as well as film, television, digital and book projects.
Lead and manage activity of Ryman marketing staff, providing clear direction and ensuring that marketing/promotions/PR plans are executed and goals are achieved. Maintain relationships with key marketing, media and promotions partners.
Lead and manage activity of Ryman box office, providing clear direction and ensuring superior guest and client service, financial accountability, and adherence to policies. Manage relationship with ticketing vendor(s) and maintain current knowledge of ticketing industry.
Collaborate with Opry Entertainment Group marketing and group sales departments on Ryman daytime tour and Cafe Lula marketing.
Develop and nurture relationships with existing partners. Oversee Opry Entertainment Group Partnership Manager on sponsorship fulfillment and activation, ensuring partner satisfaction. Ensure that agreement components and expectations are met and properly tracked, measured and reported. Seek and create new partnership and promotional opportunities.
Manage use of Ryman brand to include consistency and quality. This includes internal use (signage, uniforms, etc) and external (advertising, use of brand by third parties, etc).
Serve as ''manager on duty'' for public and private events.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, a related discipline or equivalent experience required.
Experience
Minimum of seven years marketing experience in consumer advertising, promotional planning and implementation required; social media and website project management experience preferred
Project management experience required, including management of multiple projects simultaneously with differing deadlines
Experience in concert promotions preferred
Experience managing ticketing/box office operations preferred; experience working with Ticketmaster helpful
Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills required
Excellent writing skills with high attention to detail required
Proven leadership skills required
