A development company is looking for interns for the FALL semester who are obsessed with story. The Principals include Robert Kaplan, (the producer of films including PAPILLON and the FOX release THE PYRAMID, former Warner Bros. Business Affairs Exec who has worked on films such as A CLOCKWORK ORANGE and teacher of the business course for producers at AFI for over 34 years); Doug McKay (Former Vice-President of Production at Phoenix Pictures who has developed films such as BLACK SWAN, SHUTTER ISLAND and ZODIAC and produced WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARE EXPECTING), and Marc Senter and Nathan Grubbs (Producers of BRAWLER). The company has an active slate of films in development with a number of A-list writers. Intern Responsibilities include but are not limited to: reading and evaluating script, book, and article submissions, pitching material to executives, compiling film festival grids and look books, and researching short films and up-and-coming talent. Overall, the experience is meant to expose interns to the world of film development and give them a better understanding of the processes and infrastructure of a film development/production company. The position is unpaid and candidates must receive school credit.
