COMPANY: Round Hill Music, LP
TITLE OF POSITION: Coordinator, Administration
OVERVIEW: The Administration Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day copyright administration duties associated with New York and Los Angeles based deals. The Administration Coordinator will ensure Round Hill Music's works are correctly registered, claimed, and licensed.
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 1-3 years of Copyright Administration/Music Business or related work experience at a music publishing company
LOCATON: Nashville, TN
REPORTS TO: New York based Manager, Administration
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-time
FUNCTIONS:
• Register works with domestic and foreign Performing/Mechanical/Digital Rights Societies via CWR and other accepted formats
• Track Performing/Mechanical/Digital Rights Societies updates to ensure timely and accurate completion
• Enter works into CounterPoint/Vistex's MusicMaestro (inclusive of IP, Client, Rates, ISRC, ISWC, and other metadata)
• Prepare, issue and manage filing of various licenses, mechanical/sample/performance/new media
• File copyright claims with Library of Congress and maintain log
• Review and file Notices of Intent (NOI)
• Research copyright inquiries and resolve counterclaims
• Work on projects assigned by the COO and Head of Administration
• Prepare and issue label copy and publishing credits
• Respond and assist Writers and Publishers with various inquiries
• Deliver New works to Sub-Publishers and assist with any inquiries
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
• Bachelor's Degree in Music Business or related field preferred
• Experience reading and comprehending purchase, publishing, and administration agreements
• Experience with CWR and Acknowledgment files
• Experience with CounterPoint/Vistex's MusicMaestro (preferred)
• Familiarity with HFA, ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent research and electronic search skills
• Hardworking, enthusiastic and results oriented
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and procedures
• Ability to multi-task
• Familiarity with both Mac and Windows operating systems
• Competency with Microsoft Word and Excel
