Position Overview:
Audio technicians transport, install, operate, and troubleshoot audio equipment for Rooftop Films' Summer Series outdoor screenings. Technicians work shows from start to finish on site, and set up and break down a full PA system, run sound for a 30 minute musical performance and a feature or shorts program.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with professional audio equipment. Ability to configure a digital board a must - Rooftop Films uses Behringer X32 consoles and KLA speakers.
- Extensive experience setting up speaker systems, running FOH/monitor mixes, operating digital mixing consoles.
- Experience with a Dolby CP750 surround processor a strong plus, but not necessary.
- Ability to lift and carry 60 lbs.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Adaptable to a flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, and remain flexible under pressure.
- Willingness to play a fluid role as part of a small, tight-knit team, balancing professionalism and a great sense of humor.
Technicians can expect to work between 25 and 40 hours per week from mid-May through August, and excellent technicians may have the opportunity to work through the winter.
