The Los Angeles office is seeking a fulltime Recruiter with 3+ years of staffing experience within the entertainment marketing and/or publicity field.
We're looking for a self-starter who is proactive, professional, and eager to make a positive impact within our organization. The Recruiter will be based on the West coast and work collaboratively with both the Director of Talent Acquisition at Octagon and Director of Human Resources at Rogers and Cowan to support hiring initiatives across multiple brands, build and maintain a network of top candidates and achieve overall department goals. Ideal candidates will be results-driven and open to contributing their knowledge, skills and efforts in both recruiting and HR initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
• Full-cycle recruitment from job posting, candidate sourcing, screening, interview scheduling, reference and background checking, negotiating and extending of offer
• Track recruiting activities, update candidate records and job postings within applicant tracking system (Taleo)
• Build and maintain a pipeline of professionals in the industry through networking, research, sourcing, and internal employee recommendations
• Develop effective relationships with all internal teams to understand job specifications and tailor recruiting strategies
• Establish and leverage recruitment relationships with top universities in order to streamline recruiting approach for internship and entry-level openings
• Support Directors and Hiring Managers on improvement and efficiency initiatives as it relates to processes, analysis and workflow across Talent Acquisition & Human Resource functions
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of experience in full-cycle talent acquisition, staffing and recruiting preferably within entertainment and/or PR industry
• Proficiency using ATS systems (Taleo preferred), MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Strong knowledge of current federal and state (CA) regulations related to employment (EEOC, ADA, etc.)
• Self-motivation, strong time management and organization skills
• Proven track record in developing strategies for sourcing, building pipelines and managing a high volume of candidates
• Adaptable and comfortable navigating the changing priorities of our company
• Professional with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills
