The ideal candidate is a savvy Graphic Designer, fast learner, self-starter, and excellent communicator with a passion for great design and the ability to achieve it. In collaboration with the new business team, the candidate must be able to take content from a strategic business/PR Plan and visualize it in a compelling and impactful way that represents the client. From brainstorming and design through production and press checks; the Graphic Designer will be an instrumental part of our team and company. He or she must have a passion for design that is clear, concise and direct as well as beautiful, engaging and playful. The designer must also possess a relentless attention to detail.
DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES
•Primary responsibility will be to design new business presentation decks.
•Graphic Designer will design print pieces, digital and collateral materials, and web content.
•He or she will be responsible for projects from concept to completion, including project management
•He or she will work closely with the rest of the creative team to ensure continuity of design and shared assets
•He or she will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the creative assets and file archives for the team
Qualifications
•BA or BFA in Graphic Design
•2-4 years of design experience, an in-house design background is strongly preferred
•Expert skills and experience with Adobe CC InDesign, PPT, and Photoshop
•Comfortable working with Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, Excel, and Google Sheets
•A strong portfolio that demonstrates your graphic design thinking and core skills across a variety of categories including: typography, color, identity systems, print design, packaging, print/packaging mechanicals, illustration, image manipulation, renderings, digital design for websites.
•An ability to quickly grasp direction within the in-house work environment - must be very flexible and want to wear multiple hats
•Experience working in a deadline-driven environment and meeting those deadlines
•Must possess strong craftsmanship, production, and mock up skills
•Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
•Proven expertise in problem solving and project management
•Maintains professional demeanor under pressure and in all situations
•Ability to scope and manage projects through all phases, from kick-off through press checks
•Ability to work well with many different personalities; must be a team player
KNOWLEDGE + INTERESTS
•Up to date knowledge of trends, best practices and emerging technologies in the design field
•Passion for design in any and all forms
•Solid values and integrity required
