Rogers and Cowan seeks a Financial Analyst to join our team to perform a variety of financial reporting and analysis activities. The candidate will be responsible for conducting high-level analysis of revenue, credit, billing, expenses and overhead. He or she must be highly detail-oriented and capable of analyzing data with creativity and innovation in mind. Responsibilities:
• Actualize offline departmental and practices rolling forecasts.
• Assisting preparing full year budget and forecasts (3) and load into Hyperion
• Review all actuals associated with the P&L (salaries, benefits, rent, T&E etc…)
• Assisting revenue analysis - Monthly details and Full Year estimates by office (committed and uncommitted revenue)
• Help in pricing projects as needed
• Utilization & Realization reports, point person for all time runs
• Review detail on T&E and new business spend and track back to budget
• All special projects (tracking hours and expenses for departments practices, new business pitches, missing paperwork and Pro Bono work)
Other:
• Completing quarterly supplier diversity for key client
• Completing quarterly VIP tracking for key client
• Help with creating PO's when necessary, AP and AR issues, rush checks and expense report problems when needed
• Work closely with billers and contract administrator to assure that we are billing according to clients agreement.
• Review and update billing/revenue schedule on daily basis.
• Provide projections once a week or as requested.
• Update capacity forecast twice per month, on the 1st and on the 15th.
• Review contracts, letter of authorizations, project agreements, scope of work, POs, addendums, and amendments and e-mails to determent the revenue recognition method.
• Distribute projections to all departments and confirm forecast for accuracy (once per month).
• Assist in actualizing revenue for the month.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in finance and/or accounting.
• BA/BA degree, with major in finance/accounting
• Strong analytical skills, be rigorous and detail oriented
• Strong organizational, communication & presentation skills
• Able to multi-task and able to lead meetings
• Must have excellent knowledge of Excel & Word
• Good overall business skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Demonstrate strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in deliver quality results.
