Revolve Impact is a global social impact agency that combines organizing and the creative arts to drive communities to action. Revolve Impact offers policy, marketing and strategic media expertise to a diverse and influential clientele including nonprofit and government entities, artists, corporate communities, and philanthropic foundations.
Revolve Impact is a fast paced work environment and we seek talented interns who crave learning new skills and aren't afraid to tackle big projects. As an intern you will get to work with a variety of our staff, consultants and clients while working on real projects that will help us grow and build your portfolio.
Our ideal candidate is someone who walks into a room of people and can't leave without making a few friends. Someone who has a love for social media and is creative and thoughtful when interacting with online communities and building meaningful and lasting relationships.
Responsibilities
Social Media
Update Revolve Impact social media channels
Respond to posts or comments to bring value to user's interactions with Revolve Impact
Post updates, relevant news stories, and announcements in a timely manner using appropriate content
Perform research to find articles, stories, resources or other content that is relevant to our current campaigns and posts it to our Facebook and Twitter page in a manner that invites conversation and interaction
Grow followers across existing social network accounts
Assist Social Media team in gathering social media analytics and SEO optimization research
Completes other social media projects as assigned
Digital Media
Take pictures and videos of current campaigns and events to be developed into content for Revolve Impact website, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages.
Assist Graphic Design Intern in creating new creative concepts for social media
Manage Revolve Impact's photo database
Research and Data Collection
Regularly observe the online activity of model organizations
Review data on the performance of social media platforms and adjusts strategies to optimize reach
Complete other digital media projects as assigned
What You Will Learn:
How to create a long term social media plan and marketing calendar
Relationship building with our online community by maintaining Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other media accounts
How to track social media analytics and report results and new ideas to our team
Create compelling content that will be shared by influencers
Assist our Creative Director in building and presenting social media strategy
Plenty of additional opportunities in related projects
What We Require:
Background or Major in, Communication, non-profit management or other related discipline.
Strong communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite Office and Photoshop
Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
Creative and Flexible
Familiarity with social networking sites and basic understanding of the digital media landscape desired,
Interest in social justice issues and making a difference
Interest in policy reform and community development

You will become extremely knowledgeable in online communication, a master of twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. and understanding of the right tactics to combine online marketing with overarching outreach goals in a professional setting. You will also learn how to work in a professional environment and have ample opportunity to network with community leaders and other professionals in the social impact and marketing field.
