Revolve Impact is a global social impact agency that combines organizing and the creative arts to drive communities to action. Revolve Impact offers policy, marketing and strategic media expertise to a diverse and influential clientele including nonprofit and government entities, artists, corporate communities, and philanthropic foundations.
Revolve Impact is a fast paced work environment and we seek talented interns who crave learning new skills and aren't afraid to tackle big projects. As an intern you will get to work with a variety of our staff, consultants and clients while working on real projects that will help us grow.
Our ideal candidate is someone who walks into a room of people and can't leave without making a few friends. Someone who has a love for social media and is creative and thoughtful when interacting with online communities and building meaningful and lasting relationships.
-Help assist Revolve Impact social media channels
-Respond to posts or comments to bring value to user's interactions with Revolve Impact
-Post updates, relevant news stories, and announcements in a timely manner using appropriate content
-Performs research to find articles, stories, resources or other content that is relevant to our current campaigns and posts it to our Facebook and Twitter page in a manner that invites conversation and interaction
-Grow followers across existing social network accounts
-Social media analytics and seo optimization research
-Completes other social media projects as assigned
-Take pictures and videos of current campaigns and events to be developed into content for Revolve Impact website, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages.
-Manage Revolve Impact's photo database
-Completes other digital media projects as assigned
-Research and Data Collection
-Regularly observe the online activity of model organizations
-Review data on the performance of social media platforms and adjusts strategies to optimize reach
What You Will Learn:
-How to create a long term social media plan and marketing calendar
-Relationship building with our online community by maintaining Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other media accounts
-How to track social media analytics and report results and new ideas to our team
-Create compelling content that will be shared by influencers
-Assist our Creative Director in building and presenting social media strategy
-Plenty of additional opportunities in related projects
What We Require:
-Background or Major in, Journalism, Communications or other related discipline.
-Strong communication skills.
-Proficient in Microsoft Suite Office and Photoshop
-Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
-Creative and Flexible
-Familiarity with social networking sites and basic understanding of the digital media landscape desired,
-Interest in social justice issues and making a difference
-Interest in policy reform and community development

You will become extremely knowledgeable in online communication, a master of twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. and understanding of the right tactics to combine online marketing with overarching outreach goals in a professional setting. You will also learn how to work in a professional environment and have ample opportunity to network with community leaders and other professionals in the social impact and marketing field.
As part of this internship we would like the Social Impact Interns to assist and attend tour stops throughout California in 6 communities primarily located in the Southern & Northern California. The tour will take place every weekend from September 10, 2016 to October 29, 2016. All travel, lodging and meals on travel days will be provided. Attending each tour stop will provide interns with hands on event management skills and community mobilization and engagement experience.
Hours: Immediately. Exact start date is flexible.
