Revolution Events is a festival design and production company currently looking for Crew members for events in the Baltimore and Washington DC area.
As a member of our crew, you will assist with the installation and manufacture of scenery, accessories and games. You will work in a team environment with the opportunity to direct work facilities, supervise a team and solve logistical problems. This position is reported to the Fields Operations Manager.
Revolution Events designs and creates a wide range of attractive exhibits and experiences for hotels, national non-profit organizations and other organizations in the Baltimore and DC area.
Greater Responsibilities:
-Help with the installation and disassembly of the work using a variety of manual and electrical tools.
-Assist in the production of scenery and decor
-Maintain a clean working environment in the workplace
-Load and unload equipment, landscapes, items, tools and accessories in the truck.
The Ideal Candidate will excel in the following areas:
-Problem Solving: identifying and solving problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information
-Planning/Organization: prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently
-Quality Control: demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, supervise you own work to ensure quality, apply feedback to improve performance
-Adaptability: manage competitive demands, flexibility when dealing with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.
-Reliability: consistently punctual and ready to work, follows instructions, respond to management's direction and ask for feedback to improve performance.
-Work well in a team environment
Skills and Qualifications
-Basic carpentry skills
-Knowledge of the design of sets and practices and theatrical tech a plus
-Experience in truck driving
-Highly detailed and organized
-Ability to consistently prioritize and meet deadlines
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to act and work independently with minimal daily direction to achieve objectives
-Availability to work nights and weekends as requested
-Although not necessary, practical knowledge of any of the following disciplines has been beneficial: painting, logistics, welding, past use with various artistic mediums, theater
