This position requires the ability to support television and digital production event to provide support,facilitate change requests,training and participate when required.
This position needs to be able to work on time-sensitive projects, keep documentation current, all while prioritizing their involvement in and knowledge of daily production. This position recommends cost-effective, functional solutions to technical requests. This position requires good anticipatory skills, the ability to provide support in pressure situations, and the ability to participate in and support multiple simultaneous events at once.
Occasional overtime is required, as well as occasional after hours support calls. This position reports to the Senior Production Engineer.
Responsibilities Include:
• Build, maintain, and support of file based NLE systems.
• Manage large scale SAN environment.
• Application licensing and version control.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues in a complex postproduction environment.
• MAM application operation and management.
• Vendor management.
• Vantage workflow authoring.
• Occasional live studio and remote production support.
• Collaborate with other support teams to provide end-to-end solutions across multiple technology environments.
• Facility hardware, cable maintenance and install.
Requirements:
• Strong understanding of broadcast signal types, audio and video formats, sync and timecode, and signal flow.
• Minimum 5 years experience providing broadcast support.
• Strong understanding of studio hardware and file based production environments.
• Experience with Windows OS's, Mac OS's, Unix, networking.
• Complete understanding of media file components and types.
• Vizio or AutoCAD document creation knowledge a plus.
• Familiarity with traditional terrestrial and satellite broadcast distribution technology.
• Familiarity with asset management systems, automation systems and rundown applications.
• Familiarity with production automation.
