Overview And Responsibilities
The Coordinator supports all network publicity initiatives. The position requires a high level of organization, ability to manage multiple projects at any given time and an ability to communicate internally and externally with accuracy and timeliness. The position supports the PR Department in its entirety. Position reports to Director, Public Relations & Communications
Principal Responsibilities
• Assist in the creation of publicity materials including press releases, media alerts, episodic descriptions, material vetting/proofing
• Manage the dissemination of approved press releases, video assets/photo materials (produced to spec) to internal and external parties including agencies, media outlets and talent
• Coordinate logistics for publicity events (e.g. press junkets, premieres, screenings, parties etc.) working closely with PR Department, Marketing and outside vendors
• Proactively maintain and update press web site, all mailing/press lists, twitter page and media database.
• Coordinate with retained clipping services and PR agencies to compile and distribute clip reports and other information generated by the department to internal and external parties
• Maintain PR Share Drive, as well as press clippings and material archives
• Set up meetings, create department agendas and liaise with agency and department heads on scheduling
• Process invoices and reconcile budget on weekly basis and liaise with current vendors and research new vendors, when necessary
• Coordinate and fulfill press mailings and any administrative tasks for the Department
Basic Qualifications
Key Experience
• 2 years of experience which demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills. Interest or experience in a public relations environment is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or similar field
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Computer literate with competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as the Internet/social media,
• Genuine knowledge of entertainment industry, TV, movies and popular culture

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Proactive thinker, highly resourceful and problem solver
• Ability to exercise a high level of discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
• Flexibility - quick turnarounds/deadlines, some late nights and weekends,
• Energetic/Enthusiastic
• Must be available to work events and travel as needed
