As the social media and promotions specialist you will develop and maintain a comprehensive social media strategy that defines how social media marketing techniques will be applied to increase visibility and traffic across all Revision3 brands and products. You are able to lead the development of organization-wide social media management standards, policies and rules of engagement for social media to ultimately grow an engaged community for our hosts and channels on YouTube.
With previous online video experience and as a social media enthusiast, you will create a strong roadmap for growing audiences via the appropriate social media outlets. You will circulate knowledge and work directly with show teams to help them grow their audience. You're a problem solver by nature and your strategic thinking skills will be critical in devising new tactics and turning data into actionable information to both enhance content optimization and influence product development. You are someone who is a self-starter, intellectually curious and able to think with both sides of the brain. You are comfortable working in a results-driven environment, able to multi-task, social media savvy, online video is of extreme interest, and you want to be part of an innovative team that is forging new ground and redefining the world of media.
Responsibilities
• Develop the appropriate social media roadmap to develop an engaged and growing audience
• Build loyalty across online communities within Facebook, Twitter, Google+, while engaging and growing the community
• Monitor all social media for consumer insight and use metrics to report regularly and consistently on comments, trends and traffic
• Ensure a consistent and appropriate brand voice and tone across all communication channels
• Proactively monitor social media for consumer issues, questions and needs, and elevate as needed.
• Use and recommend social media monitoring and tracking tools to provide reporting on key metrics.
• Engage in research, ideation, brainstorming and new methods of social media executions.
• Design, Develop and Implement SEO, SEM and optimization models
• Develop and maintain audience relationships and cross promotional strategies
• Create and execute a solid blogger, forum and webmaster outreach program in order to build the community, drive traffic and viewers to our YouTube channels
• Develop and execute link exchange programs with other sites and shows
• Advise and update programming and executive team on trends, best practices and the rapidly changing social media and search engine landscape.
• Collect and analyze data from initiatives
Qualifications
• 2-4 years experience specifically focused on online video in advertising, communications, marketing, or public relations?
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of graphic design best practices and principles for both print and web projects
• Strong technical background with advanced computer skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, as well as independently
• Aptitude to develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders?
• A solid understanding of ethical search engine optimization techniques?
• Exceptional leadership capabilities and strong interpersonal skills
• Extremely strong communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated experience and a passion for the social technology universe (i.e., Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Foursquare, Flickr, blogs, wikis, RSS, social bookmarking, discussion forums and community software)
• Experience with online monitoring and measurement platforms including but not limited to Omniture, Facebook Insights, YouTube Insights, Google Analytics, HootSuite, and TweetDeck
• Experience with creating and identifying quality social media content related to online television content is preferred
• Experience developing and launching email and text messaging campaigns desired
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines and juggle several assignments simultaneously
• Ability to distinguish and behave with a good sense of decorum; acting as a brand ambassador is absolutely required
• Data, analytics, and metrics oriented
• Experience at either YouTube or another online internet television studio that closely partners with YouTube.
• Demonstrated ability to drive viewership and online growth via social media
• Ability to work independently and as a team player with strong partner relationship skills.
