Relativity Media is seeking a Jr. Analyst to support the Executive Vice President of Business Development and the BD team. The BD team oversees financings, oversight of slate co-financing deals, investor relations, new business opportunities, and strategic direction for Relativity. In this role, the successful candidate will provide general department support functions, and will regularly engage in support for financial analysis and film greenlight modeling, research, preparing presentations and other special projects, as required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparing investor presentations.
• Constructing and updating financial models.
• Maintaining and updating internal presentations and internal databases as new information/ reporting is received.
• Other team projects and duties, as assigned.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business / Finance / Economics or a related field required.
• Minimum 1 year of administrative experience in a corporate setting, preferably supporting business development, finance, or strategic planning executives.
• Research experience is a plus.
• Passion for business development, finance, strategic planning or related areas.
• Advanced proficiency in Windows operating system and MS Office (Outlook, Word and, in particular, Excel and PowerPoint).
o Familiarity with troubleshooting issues with portable devices, such as phones and tablets, is a plus.
o Knowledge of technology, tablets, phones, internet, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strict attention to detail, managing multiple details and tasks, while minimizing errors.
• Top-notch organizational skills in approach to and execution of work are required, in order to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to display poise and diplomacy, facing even the most challenging situations while maintaining positive relationships and acting with tact and composure.
• A self-motivated individual, who is solution-oriented, can work independently with a strong initiative to identify and execute upon improvements to reports and processes.
• Ability to work as part of a team of professionals, with a willingness to provide assistance to co-workers to achieve departmental goals.
• Demonstrated experience maintaining a positive attitude while working within a rapidly changing and time-sensitive business environment.
• Discretion - In light of considerable exposure to deals and discussions of a confidential nature, maintains a high standard of discretion and integrity in handling of such information.
• The successful candidate must be willing and able to work overtime, as needed.
