Director, Physical and Post Production
Relativity Media seeks a well-qualified Director to support Physical & Post-Production department. This position requires experience in both production and post-production, strong organizational skills and a commitment to a long-term career as a studio executive. Must be an innovative thinker and a team player willing to greet each challenge with enthusiasm.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing calendars, production schedules, post production, delivery dates, etc
• Overseeing and tracking budgets, cost reports, invoices, expense reports, purchase orders etc
• Applying for film tax credits
• Reviewing contracts, delivery schedules, production documents, etc
• Managing scouts and production/post travel
• Collecting and tracking production documents, overseeing wrap and delivery
• Supervising office staff, as well as consultants/production teams/post production
• Assisting with digital asset management/tracking/global content security
• Organizing and tracking screenings
Required Skills/Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• At least 5 years of experience is required between physical and post-production (combined).
• Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as Adobe Acrobat.
• Knowledge of technology, phones, internet, etc. Familiarity with troubleshooting issues with portable devices, such as phones and tablets.
• Proficiency in final draft, movie magic budgeting and scheduling.
• Familiarity with editing end encoding software a plus: final cut pro, adobe premiere, compressor, etc.
• Must pay extreme attention to detail, and prioritize tasks.
• Must possess exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, marked by a high level of professionalism, diplomacy, discretion, composure, and poise.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently as well as with a team and exercise substantial discretion and judgment.
• The successful candidate must be willing and able to work overtime, weekends and holidays, as needed.
