Relativity is seeking a dynamic Media Assistant to support our Physical and Post-Production team. This is a great position for someone seeking to get into this side of the theatrical production business. The successful candidate will be involved in multiple projects and must be able to manage them with a high degree of accuracy and responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
•Creating DVD and Blu-Ray Screeners, as requested.
•DVD Menu creation, Copying, Encryption.
•Encoding media to specifications for uses including:
o Turnovers to trailer houses
o Online streaming (several different sites/use cases), Apple TV. Etc.
•Capturing still frames from source material.
•Handling set-up and maintenance of project files.
•Overseeing day-to-day media needs of the studio.
•Dailies handling between editorial and trailer vendors.
•Admin tasks like covering phones, copying, tracking supplies
•Administration for streaming system
•Tracking/logging all incoming and outgoing media.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
•Knowledge of basic administrative skills essential, especially phones.
•Must be very organized and able to multitask and prioritize accordingly.
•Must be able to handle fast paced production environment with extremely tight deadlines.
•Background or education in post-production extremely helpful.
•Ability to work overtime, if needed.
•Knowledge of Final Cut Pro and Compressor, Adobe Suite Including: Adobe Encore, Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, Filemaker Pro, Microsoft Office, Resolve.
•Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, FTPs, Toast Titanium, Handbrake.
•Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop,
•Production experience a plus, and especially any knowledge of Movie Magic Budgeting and Scheduling
•Knowledge of QuickTime file formats / various video and audio codecs, and common compatibility issues with different formats.
