International Distribution Executive, TV - Latin America and US Hispanic
Reel One Entertainment is a leading producer and distributor of TV Movies and TV series with offices in Los Angeles, London, Montreal and Vancouver. Reel One leads the way in the development, financing, production and distribution of high quality TV programming, being one of the largest suppliers in the niche of highly commercial TV movies.
We are looking for an Executive to join the team based in Los Angeles.
Main responsibilities:
Reporting to the VP, Head of Distribution, you will take ownership of developing our business in LATIN AMERICA and in the USA HISPANIC
-Grow our revenue by successfully licensing our American TV series and TV movies to LATIN American TV broadcasters and VOD platforms
-Research and keep ahead of the fast changing Latin American TV landscape, using industry magazines, news articles, contacts in your network etc.
-Identify and track suitable broadcast partners for our content (keeping ahead of re-brands, channel launches, failing slots, new media etc.)
-Understand the broadcasters' slots/schedules/target demographic/brand/key competition
Be in regular contact with the broadcasters (will involve some cold-calling initially), attend key TV markets, such as NATPE and MIP, plus several individual trips to territories in Latin America to meet clients locally
Required:
•1 to 3 years' experience in sales of TV programming. Experience in selling commercial TV movies and dramatic TV series is a plus. Experience in Latin America or US Hispanic is a plus.
•Fluent in Spanish is a must. Portuguese is a plus
•A driven and proactive nature
•Excellent verbal and written skills - an ability to elicit responses from multi-national, busy broadcasters
•Efficiency and organisation - managing your own workday and travel, recording information
•Enjoyment of logical thinking and ability to work through complex rights puzzles
