Join the global leader in professional tradeshows serving the international television and digital entertainment industries. Reed MIDEM is seeking a talented Exhibit Sales Manager with 3 to 5 years of experience in tradeshow and conference sales looking to move to the next level with an international business focus. The candidate should have a proven track record of selling exhibit space, advertising, sponsorship and value added services exceeding monthly and yearly sales quotas.
JOB SUMMARY:
Candidate will be expected to prospect and sell small, medium and large entertainment companies into our industry-leading markets MIPTV, MIPCOM, MIPJUNIOR, MIPDOC, MIPFORMATS (organized in Cannes, France) as well as MIPCANCUN and MIPCHINA, among other events in a growing global portfolio. Sales territory US and Canada.
Work with Vice President of Sales to implement sales strategy and meet regular sales objectives, targeting studios and distributors of television content (drama, kids programs, factual, documentary, formats and series) and new digital online and technology players (digital studios, mobile, VR, Esports/gaming, platforms, brands), etc.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prospect and deliver on new business sales quotas for exhibit stands, sponsorships, advertising and delegate registrations for each Reed MIDEM event
• Oversee and lead growth from an existing multi-million dollar portfolio of exhibitors
• Represent company at key TV and media conferences, markets and other networking events
• Network and stay connected in the industry, understand trends, meet the players
• Research new business opportunities: focus on new lead generation, seek out databases and new prospects lists, identify new buyers and sellers
• Create proposals and presentations; present to clients and at industry events
• Key account management – manage contracts, troubleshoot and provide first class client experience throughout the entire process (before/during/after the event)
• Travel within the US and Canada to forge new sales opportunities with prospects and clients alike (approx. 30% travel); must have valid passport work visas.

Additional Information:
• Ideally 5 years of experience in exhibit and sponsorship sales management
• Tradeshow sales experience required
• Must thrive in a quota-based sales environment
• Ability to multi-task and juggle various projects simultaneously
• Ability to partner with stakeholders, understand client requirements and respond with solutions
• Strong self-organizational ability in a fast-paced environment
• Experience meeting changings deadlines
• Fluid, flexible, and intellectually curious
• Very strong communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to effectively communicate across countries and time zones
• Strong project management skills with a solution-driven mindset
• Foreign language skills a plus (Spanish, French, Chinese, etc.)
• Open to learning about international cultures
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.; company will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
