The Data Analyst will apply his/her knowledge of Reed North America's customer data to provide strategic, actionable insights and recommendations that enable Reed to grow revenue, attract and retain customers, and sell and market effectively. Success in this role is based upon the incumbent's ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, understand our brands/customers and apply business analytics to overcome challenges and grow our brands.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work collaboratively with Event marketing and sales leaders to understand each of our industries and develop data-driven strategies that propel growth.
Support ongoing sales and marketing campaigns by providing customer lists and ad-hoc reports in a timely manner.
Translate data into business insights, strategies and recommended actions.
Segment and manage target audience clusters aligned with event growth goals; monitor and measure their responsiveness throughout the sales and marketing cycle; recommend course corrections and strategic opportunities based on analyses.
Help leverage a variety of data sources and applications to analyze customer and event trends and opportunities.
Work seamlessly with team to share responsibilities and support overall departmental goal.
Present analyses to peer and key business stakeholders.
Additional Information:
• BS or BA in Math, Statistics, Economics or quantitative field required
• 2 to 4 years hands-on experience using relational databases (SQL, Oracle, etc.) as well as strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP, etc.) is required
• Previous programing experience, knowledge of statistical software packages ( SAS, R, etc.) and/or data visualization software (Tableau, Qlik, etc.) is preferred but not required
• The ideal candidate will also have strong written and verbal communication skills.
