Relativity Sports is seeking a motivated and energetic Financial Controller who would like to work directly with executives of Relativity Sports, a world class high growth sports agency based in Beverly Hills, California. Reporting to the CFO Sports, Financial Controller will be responsible for ensuring delivery of accurate, timely and useful financial information to management and other constituents while maintaining effective internal financial controls.

Relativity Sports is a premier sports agency engaged in sports management and representation, career development and other services to professional athletes, managers and broadcasters. Relativity Sports is a subsidiary of Relativity Media.
Responsibilities
• Preparation of GAAP financial statements and footnotes for the consolidated operations of the Company on an annual basis.
• Manage financial statement close process including review of financial statements for various divisions (e.g., basketball, baseball, football, etc.) and preparation of consolidated financial statements and various reports for executive management, board of directors and investors.
• Provide executive oversight and supervision to divisional accountants.
• Manage accounts payable and cash disbursements process.
• Monitor accounts receivable and cash collection process.
• Facilitate annual budgeting process and updated forecasts for each division.
• Facilitate coordination of annual independent financial statement audit.
• Working directly in the Company's accounting system, Intaact.
• Coordinate income tax return preparation with tax service provider.
• Research and prepare technical accounting documentation for complex transactions (e.g., purchase accounting and goodwill calculations, consolidation considerations, revenue recognition, etc.)
Knowledge and skill requirements
• Certified Public Accountant
• Strong executive presence
• Confidence in working independently, and managing multiple priorities simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong command of excel
• Familiarity with web based accounting systems (e.g., Intaact) is a plus.
