RCS is currently hiring a Field Support Technician to support one of our biggest broadcast clients. You will be working with multiple major TV networks to support their live weekly professional boxing broadcasts. Some technical knowledge related to television broadcast is helpful, but we will throughly train the right person. Aptitude for hardware and software is essential as is a willingness to learn custom applications and train others in their use.
You will be setting up, supporting and maintaining the Vizrt based graphics hardware workflow. Understanding of broadcast signal workflow and familiarity of wiring remote trucks are extremely helpful. Strong communication skills are key as you will be traveling with the clients and will be responsible for relaying all production details back to the home office. Testing, troubleshooting and documentation are all part of this assignment. There will be in-depth, onsite training for this position prior to solo assignments.
The Field Support Technician will travel with the production team to all events: 30-40 weeks per year will be spent on the road. Generally, you will traveling to cities within the US - Chicago, Brooklyn, Las Vegas, etc.. Most weeks you will be onsite 3-5 days, typically between Wednesday and Sunday. You are not required to come to the office when you are not traveling, so after training, you are able to be stationed outside of Burbank if desired.
