Part Time Job
Sales & business development Music Business
We're looking for a part time Sales & business development person based in Los Angeles.
The job is to build relationships with music video commissioners and marketing departments at LA record labels and LA recording artists' management companies.
Preferably, you'll already be well connected with these people.
Person spec
Bright, personable, well connected, enthusiastic, well organised self-starter who is very interested in building personal networks with artist managers and people working in LA record labels across creative and marketing departments.
You'll have a basic understanding of the roles of different departments within major labels and of the marketing needs of labels and management companies.
You get on with people.
You're happy on the phone and face to face.
You're good at listening.
You get a kick out of persuading people.
Job spec
Generate leads.
Set up and pitch at least 2 face to face meetings per week with good quality leads, from week 3 onwards.
Follow up leads.
Convert leads into clients and dormant clients into active clients.
Create slick, good looking sales copy and sales documents.
Keep timely and efficient records, in particular keep the CRM updated and well organised.
