Who we're looking for…
RWS & Associates is currently seeking a Wardrobe Department Construction Intern interested in gaining a multifaceted experience in theatrical and corporate costuming.
About the role…
Reporting to the Wardrobe Managers, the Wardrobe Intern will assist in facilitating wardrobe needs for theme park, cruise line and corporate event accounts.
What's expected…
¥ Sourcing, shopping, purchasing and labeling wardrobe pieces and supplies
¥ Updating and managing expense reports
¥ Building and altering costumes as directed
¥ Labeling costumes and accessories
¥ Some wig maintenance & styling
¥ Some craft, shoe and rhinestone work
¥ Taking and organizing cast measurements
¥ Organizing wardrobe stock
¥ Creating shipment manifests and assisting in shipping
¥ Assisting in maintaining branded characters for clients
What you bring…
¥ Dependability and excellent time management skills
¥ Education and/or work experience in theatrical costumes and fashion garment construction: pattern making, fitting, measuring, draping, cutting, stitching (hand & machine), alterations and research skills
¥ Organization and resourceful skills
¥ Extremely detail-oriented and responsible
¥ A willingness to learn and take direction
¥ Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Other program experience a plus
The deal…
Work three (3) business days per week, particular days of the week are flexible. Office hours are 10am-6pm. For this Fall and/or Winter Semester starting October through December/January, 2017.
