US STREAMING PROMOTIONS MANAGER
RPM GRP/ RPM MSC: Creative & Music Agency/ Record Label
This role is based out of our NY office and sits within our new streaming promotion & marketing division called Playlistd
The purpose of the role is maximizing playlist adds, editorial & third party on all relevant DSPs including Spotify, Apple Music and Soundcloud.
This is an ideal position for someone with experience or already in music promotions who would like to move into to the streaming arena and break artists worldwide.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Secure editorial and third partylist adds
Strengthen our existing relationships with editors at DSP's and existing third party tastemakers
Develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with streaming partners, digital platforms, curators and playlisters
Develop and improve our third party playlist database
Contribute to streaming strategy and company objectives overall
Develop and implement the streaming strategy on National and Global playlists, on-line radio, and platforms
Create new opportunities for our clients through streaming platforms
Strategize creative plans for streaming platforms, in collaboration with Marketing & Media
Work closely with Senior Management identifying new areas of growth
Be at the forefront of the ever evolving digital space, continually provide insight and understanding as to how this can work for our clients
Establish and develop the company' presence in this area
Write and collate client reports
Attend client meetings
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge & understanding of music streaming and its impact on sales, marketing, new business, licensing & promotion
Minimum of one to two years experience in music promotions or DSP facing role
A genuine interest in and appetite for music
Strong & passion for digital media
Creatively minded with an ability to adapt and develop campaigns
Must be able to communicate effectively with persons on all levels - in person, on the phone and in writing
Strong organizational and time management skills: the ability to work independently and pro-actively on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationship with media and key business partners, clients, artists and artists managers
Superior relationship, communication and problem solving skills.
Understanding and communication of company priorities to business partners
High level of creativity, innovation and enthusiasm; and the ability to drive business priorities to business partners.
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication, report building and delivery skills.
Pro-active and detailed approach to tasks, with an ability to prioritize and handle a large and varied workload
A team player and work well with the rest of the team in order to get the job done.
