Job Title: Rights Management Coordinator
Reports to: SVP, Business and Legal Affairs
This is a Contracted position working 40 hours per week. This position is temporary with a projected term of one year.
The Rights Management Coordinator (1) has exceptional understanding of intellectual property contracts and key provisions; (2) provides support to the Legal Department in the review, analysis and interpretation of media contracts; (3) shall input such contractual data into Company's rights management system database; and (4) shall be responsible for running and interpreting reports from rights management system database and answering related inquiries regarding IP distribution rights from all departments.
Job Description:
- Organize, file (digitally), label, distribute all contracts as they are executed
- Review, analyze, interpret IP/media contracts
- Synthesize IP/media contracts into deal summaries
- Load IP/media contracts (including but not limited to the large backlog of contracts currently existing) into Company's rights management system database currently known as Rightsline®
- Run reports out of Rightsline® to answer company inquires re: licensing availability, etc.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience at Television, Film, Licensing, or Digital Media companies
- Familiarity working with contracts
- Knowledgeable in current and emerging digital exploitation platforms (Hulu, Amazon, Netflix, iTunes)
- A resourceful and independent thinker capable to solving problems autonomously
- Must be able to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks under deadlines
- Works well under pressure

- Works well in a team-setting
- Tech savvy
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, SPECIFICALLY MICROSOFT EXCEL
- To undertake such other tasks, as requested, including general administrative duties
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college
