Part Time Unpaid Internship
Prophecy Girl Films is hiring a Research and Development Intern to work in television and events research for Prophecy Girl Films and its client Black Chateau Enterprises.
Duration and Location:
The Research and Development Intern will be required to work approximately 20 hours a week. The position begins in late January 2017 and will end on May 15th 2017.
The internship will take place in Los Angeles, CA. The intern may work from home, and days are flexible, but attending team meetings on one of the allotted days is mandatory. Team meetings are approximately two hours long.
Intern Requirements:
1. Must own a laptop computer.
2. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and be able to get school credit for this internship.
3. Must have an interest in television development and/or event production.
4. Must have superior written and verbal communication skills.
5. Must be familiar with Google Drive and Microsoft Office.
6. If selected, the intern must be prepared to complete the internship, which will end in May.
Internship Duties:
1. Researching agents, managers, and studios and putting together pitch lists.
2. Researching grants and fellowships.
3. Researching event venues, prices, and locations for events of all sizes.
4. Researching outreach and press organizations based on the nature of the project(s) the company is promoting.
5. Sending out pre-written communication to contacts.
6. Proofreading documents and making project notes.
Other duties related to research and development may arise.
Mentorship:
The intern will learn valuable information about the entertainment industry, and will receive:
1. Guidance and instruction on how to develop film and television projects.
2. Mentorship from film and television industry contacts.
3. Admittance to special events and seminars.
Pay:
This is an unpaid internship. Opportunities for pay may arise in the future on a freelance fee basis.
