The Producers Guild of America East membership represents the varied and unique production community on the east coast, including both mainstream and independent producers working in Film, Television and New Media. In addition to hosting a number of monthly events, the PGA East creates a wide variety of original content for publication on multiple web platforms, for the promotion and education of Guild members.
The Digital Media Intern will work closely with the PGA East Manager of Digital Initiatives in the production, editing, and publication of various forms of digital media. While there may be opportunities to work remotely, you will be required to spend full days in the PGA SoHo office per week. The duties include: background research, assisting on shoots, editing video content, website updates, digital asset management, as well as assisting with general office duties as required.
This position is an excellent opportunity for students to gain experience in a supportive professional environment, and would particularly be suited for someone interested in producing online content. As a PGA East intern, you would be able to attend most of our events including panels and screenings. We provide a daily lunch and subway stipend.
Position Requirements
- Applicants should be full or part-time students in film/video or digital media-arts programs.
- The applicant must be exceptionally organized, detailed, energetic, and eager to take initiative.
- They must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong social skills.
- Experience in MS Office, Final Cut Pro (7 and X), Google Docs, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), Compressor, HDSLR workflow and video transcoding are required.
- Knowledge of streaming video content, WordPress, HTML5 and working with various CMS, and asset management is strongly valued.
The internship will begin in September and run through the end of December.
