Long established Hollywood sound facility is in search of a manager to handle the day to day scheduling and business at a recording/ post-production studio in Mid-City. You must have your own car and be a friendly, outgoing self-starter with mad organizational skills and obsession with detail. You must have super leadership potential, as you will be schmoozing clients and handling major stars, 15+ staff editors, and 20+ interns on the fun and busy days. Proficiency with Mac OSX, online transfer services (such as Dropbox or WeTransfer) as well as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook are an absolute must, as is the ability to communicate precisely in person, over the phone, and by email. Working knowledge of Pro Tools is a major plus.
You must possess some general knowledge about both post-production and music. However, no wannabe filmmakers, producers, artists, or songwriters should apply. Your interest should be in the business end of running a studio. Facility is famous for warm, nurturing, super-friendly treatment of clients and staff. Must be diplomatic, with a great sense of humor, and pet friendly. We are an equal opportunity employer. Not a suit and tie place, but a clean fashion sense is cool.
Job is part time flexible (16 - 24 hours a week; weekends available) at training rate ($12/hour, tax free), with full time flexible (32 - 40 hours; weekends available) within a month. Frequent raises, free parking, free lunch and drinks/snacks provided every day, along with many other perks.
