Producer's Rep for Indie Horror

Point and Shoot Productions is seeking a Producer's Rep for their independent horror feature ''The Control Group.'' This person will assist the filmmakers in developing a plan to market the film and bring it to distributors, primarily through film festival screenings. The film is currently in post-production, so we will have a few months in which to develop a festival and marketing strategy.
''The Control Group'' is an extremely unique horror film that brings back the style of classic 70s and 80s horror, but with a modern sensibility that will be sure to attract true horror fans. Genre veteran Brad Dourif (the voice of ''Chucky,'' also known for ''The Lord of the Rings,'' and his Oscar-nominated role in ''One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'') stars as a maniacally evil scientist.
This is a paid position. Pay is negotiable.
Candidates for this position must have prior experience with marketing campaigns and film festivals, as well as prior experience and contacts with international and domestic distributors. I am also open to hearing from candidates who are interested solely in managing the marketing campaign, but ultimately I am looking for more than that. I want to find someone who sees how marketing fits into the bigger picture of the film's release, who has a plan and a passion for bringing a fresh, unique horror film to the audiences and distributors who want it, and who wants to be a creative partner to the filmmakers.
