BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Director of Traffic and Media Delivery, this position is responsible for overseeing all media delivery and fulfillment needs for VOD platforms. Responsibilities include the management of monthly programming and VOD schedules and the timely fulfillment of media within the correct specifications. The position will also have to manage multiple staff personnel.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage the program processing and fulfillment of media for all VOD platforms for both domestic and international
2. Work closely with the Scheduling and Post Services departments to ensure proper and timely delivery of media to the appropriate platform
3. Manage a group of Operations personnel to prep schedules accordingly and maintain deadlines
4. Manage day to day operations of all fulfillment of media and maintenance of traffic information in scheduling databases. Also work closely with Director and multiple groups to develop workflow and proper traffic system usage
5. Troubleshooting of media, traffic, fulfillment, and on-air issues both internally and with playout facilities
6. Coordinate clearances, source media delivery, and other assets with internal departments
7. Coordinate delivery of all secondary events for VOD platforms, possibly including but not limited to closed caption files and subtitling files
8. Management of 3rd party vendor services and maintaining relationships
9. Work closely with Director and Media Asset Management administrative staff in development of workflow and best practices
10. Coordinate testing and establishment of workflow with potential new VOD clients
11. Other duties as assigned
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 5 years experience in the television and/or film industry, particularly in a media operations capacity.
• Candidate must have experience supervising multiple staff in a deadline-oriented broadcast setting.
• Candidate must have ability to work with many different departments, weighing the priorities and needs of each of them, integrating these into the workflow.
• Candidate should be a self-starter with excellent communication skills and strong solid Microsoft Office knowledge, particularly in Excel.
• Candidate must be flexible to work weekends and/or evenings as required.
• Familiarity with NLE systems and concepts, traffic software (particularly Pilat IBMS), and media tracking databases a plus
