DESCRIPTION
Currently our office is looking to bring on interns who are currently enrolled in an undergrad or graduate program for the Spring semester. Non-paid interns will be mentored in film/TV development, trademark licensing and comic book publishing. The right candidate will gain invaluable, hands-on experience in the entertainment production and publishing process.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Review submissions (mostly comics, some scripts) and write coverage.
- • Assist with company's PR and social media management.
• Assist in gathering assets for as well as building presentation and pitch material.
• Participate in development research and assist in the production process of films, TV and comic books.
• Additional tasks and additional projects to be determined.
QUALIFICATIONS
• College major in film, media, marketing, communications, law or related field with strong research skills.
• Passion for films (or better yet comics) and high literacy in storytelling elements and strong knowledge of story genre.
- • Articulate and charismatic interpersonal communication in writing, in person and on the phone.
• Personable, professional demeanor, ethical and able to handle confidential matters.
• Attention to detail. (Pre-qualifier: read this listing closely and write a professional and concise cover letter)
• Basic knowledge of MS office software. (Word, Excel, etc.)
* Ability to use Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite and other media editing software. (Plus, not required)
* Experience in or ability to build-out websites in WordPress. (Plus, not required)
* Understanding of print production. (Plus, not required)
COMPENSATION
At the end of the term intern will get a character reference and/or a recommendation letter for job placement.
Based on intern's abilities there may be future freelance opportunities in design or development.
