Pixar University Program and Events Coordinator
SUMMARY:
The Pixar University Coordinator will provide operational and administrative support to Pixar University (PU) programs and events. This individual will work closely with PU program managers for art and film, technical training, and leadership to facilitate program objectives and experiences, and play a critical role in driving and maintaining the existing special guests program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee and optimize special guest speaker and screening program; coordinate with external PR firms, filmmakers, artists, and authors to bring relevant and enriching educational experiences to Pixar
• Schedule and facilitate speaker and screening events by arranging travel; hosting, touring, and introducing guests
• Collaborate with in-house film crew for documentation of speakers and events
• Create, format, and post PU class and event advertisements
• Coordinate instructor contracts and compensation; host instructors; order supplies; book classroom space
• Maintain and update PU learning management database and PU calendars of classes and events
• Act as PU liaison for New Hire Orientation; conduct presentations; schedule Q&A with executives; coordinate with technical training team regarding curriculum and scheduling for technical new hires
• Strategize with Director of PU and PU program managers to identify, prioritize, and implement new and effective PU Website features, advertising initiatives, and systemic processes
• Collaborate with PU Manager of Art & Film to determine and track yearly budget for classes and special guests program
• Manage Learning Licenses and Film Equipment Inventory processes
• Provide guidance, instruction, and mentorship to PU intern; assign, delegate, and oversee projects and tasks
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Strong project management skills
• Flexible nature with the ability to anticipate needs, problem-solve and prioritize - multiple tasks and activities in a dynamic, deadline-driven work - environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with - internal and external customers and vendors
• Ability to take initiative; resolve problems creatively and resourcefully
• Ability to anticipate needs and proactively identify and address issues or - concerns
