Full Time Unpaid Internship
A Technical Director internship consists of real-world work assisting in the production of a feature film. Our interns work alongside our Technical Directors and contribute as full members of the technical team. We are looking for students who possess many of the skills of our technical directors and are interested in expanding their knowledge of the field.
Responsibilities of a Simulation Intern include: Set up and run proprietary cloth, hair, flesh surfaces and rigid body simulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To be eligible for an internship at Pixar, you must be at least a junior working towards a Bachelor's degree, a Master's student, or Ph.D. student. Recent graduates within one year of graduation are also eligible for internships.
Our Technical Director interns will possess some or all of the following areas of experience:
• Completing Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Art or a related field
• Programming experience in C or C , or a scripting language such as Python
• An art aesthetic that demonstrates a thorough understanding of physical motion, weight, balance, lighting, texture and form
• Experience using high-end 3D graphic packages, such as Maya, XSI, Lightwave, 3D Studio Max
• Linux or Unix Operating System experience
TERM: Summer 2017 (June - August)
