Full Time Unpaid Internship
Pixar offers an exciting internship program intended to give students valuable ''hands on'' experience and exposure to our unique production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn from working professionals.
During our 12-week Summer Internship, Art Interns will work in collaboration with Mentors and the Art Department, while gaining valuable feature film experience. Interns will be expected to do the following:
-Gain knowledge about the Pixar Art process, as well as exposure to the larger production pipeline
-Create designs, design sketches, & model packets for review, revision and Production Designer approval
-Research and collect reference that inspires designs and techniques
-Utilize Photoshop and other software programs to help create design sketches, paintings and schematics
-Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Working towards a degree or certificate in design, illustration, or classical animation, and/or within one year of graduation date
• Working knowledge of Photoshop essential
• Must have a portfolio that displays strength in illustration and/or animation design
• An art background, which shows a thorough understanding of layout, design and strong draftsmanship
• Organized and detail oriented, with the ability to work quickly and collaboratively
• A great attitude and strong work ethic
TERM: Summer 2017 (June - August)
• The deadline to apply and submit materials for the Art Internship is Sunday, February 5th, 2017
