The Pixar University Assistant Temp provides support to all managers and coordinators within the department and performs a number of administrative tasks independently and with limited supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide support to the daily operations of Pixar University as directed by the Manager of Art & Film Programs and the PU Coordinators
• Perform administrative tasks including photocopying, scanning, phone support, note taking, database entry, calendar maintenance, conference room bookings, catering requests, student registry, event planning, and general office work
• Create event flyers and graphics, and distribute around the studio
• Ensure all classrooms are clean, equipped, and ready for all classes
• Greet and escort visiting instructors and special guests
• Provide onsite event support as needed
• Run departmental errands
• Manage inventory of departmental giveaway items
• Help to create a supportive, friendly and professional atmosphere in Pixar University (PU)
• Take initiative with assignments and develop positive relationships with other departments
SKILLS:
• Skilled at working with varying personalities, from Pixar's employees to outside clients. Must be able to ''read a room'', accommodate and engage guests, adapt to varying situations, and display resourcefulness and composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of Mac OS, Microsoft Office, email, and calendaring programs
• Basic Photoshop, Keynote, Google docs, and Illustrator
• Experience with database software a plus
• Familiarity with art materials a plus
• Knowledge of or interest in film production a plus
• Positive energy, highly motivated, mature, and eager to be part of the team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; excellent follow-through, promptness and responsiveness; ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities
• Superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Experience in education or training a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Driver's license and car
• Frequent to continuous use of standard computer equipment including computers, mouse, phones, monitors, etc
• Frequent to continuous sitting, bending, reaching and walking
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
• Frequent transport of materials through multiple buildings
