Feature Relations Coordinator
SUMMARY:
The Feature Relations Coordinator supports the Feature Relations Manager on a day-to-day basis, responding to active Feature asset requests submitted by the Legacy groups (Consumer Products, Interactive, Publishing, Marketing (Creative Services/DVD/Promotions), Publicity and Theme Parks). The Feature Relations Coordinator serves as a conduit to Production, gathering approved show assets and reference materials requested by these groups while providing support to the department management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• In support of the Feature Relations Manager, act as a liaison between Consumer Products, Interactive, Publishing, Marketing (Creative Services/DVD/Promotions), Publicity, Theme Parks, and Production, disseminating all asset requests and deadlines
• Point person for retrieval and delivery of assets and reference from production departments to the Legacy groups
• Support synergistic opportunities within the Legacy teams, watching for duplicate requests
• Participate in regular asset meetings with the project managers to ensure cross-departmental communication
• Seek reference for groups, independently when possible, through image catalogues and the production database; when this is not possible, work with the department managers in seeking information, reference or assets
• Attend weekly Characters and Sets Director Reviews, Production Staff Checks and clearance meetings, as needed, relaying updates to the Legacy groups
• Establish a positive rapport with the production staff, communicating relevant information in the spirit of collaboration and mutual support
• Provide daily support, including maintain database, update wiki pages, and manage calendars with attention to deadlines and conflicts, and additional administrative support as needed
• Prepare for Producer checks, gathering agenda items and research support
QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least 3 years of practical experience, preferably as a production coordinator in feature-animation or short-animation film production or VFX production
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in feature-animation production preferred
• Understanding of production terminology and the production environment. Knowledge of animation terminology and environment a plus
• Computer literacy and ability to work with database as well as standard word-processing and spreadsheet software
• Ability to work autonomously and on a team
• Ability to maintain focus on detailed priorities in a dynamic work environment
• Ability to self-organize and follow organization system of the department and varying shows
• Ability to communicate effectively with others in the department, across shows and between ancillary departments
• Flexibility; ability to adapt to stressful, ever-changing circumstances, situations and people
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Keynote and Photoshop; Final-Cut-Pro and experience
