Picture Perfect Magazine is seeking an ambitious, responsible individual for a PR internship. Picture Perfect Magazine is an upstart webzine that celebrates the individual--who we are, where we are, while acknowledging that it takes hard work and dedication to become our best selves. Built on the foundation that true beauty comes from inner strength and continuous growth; Picture Perfect Magazine takes a sensible approach on the journey to health and commingles popular culture to motivate and share knowledge to reach ones full potential.
A key goal of Picture Perfect Magazine is to engage with the public in an effective way, and any PR interns will play a large role in this work. You will be called upon to both engage with potential subjects of the magazine and find unique, unforgettable ways to bring attention to the Magazine, from the entertainment industry and from a general audience. The PR intern will also be involved in fostering the magazine's social media presence, which includes the website itself, as well as twitter and facebook accounts. Any applicant for this position must have a knowledge of both PR and the use of social media as a tool for promoting social agendas and informative websites. . We are seeking to add talented, reliable, committed, fun, and passionate individuals with a positive attitudes and amazing personalities to this amazing and ambitious project.
This is currently an UNPAID internship for someone who has a flexible schedule and can be available to attend premieres, award shows, entertainment events during the week and when necessary available on the weekends. However, we are looking to promote the right individuals from within as the magazine grows.
Desired Qualifications include:
--a strong work ethic and a good attitude. You must be able to work well with others, and complete any assignment with dedication and passion
--Attention to detail. As the social media presence of the magazine will define it in the eyes of many consumers, it is necessary to put care and thought into the way these components of the project express the magazine's essence. Furthermore, when dealing with other media figures or groups, focus and attention to detail will be of the utmost importance.
--A willingness to go above and beyond what is asked of you. Overachieving interns will be rewarded with increased responsibilities and more influence on the magazine.
Requirements:
--must own your own computer
--must be self motivated and be able to work with little to no supervision at times (will always have guidance & mentor available)
--must be based in the Los Angeles area and be willing and able to travel locally
--must have a knowledge of public relations, and preferably an education and experience in it
