Full Time Job
Philymack, a music talent management company, is seeking a full-time Social Media Manager to serve as a key member of the Philymack Digital Team. The ideal candidate has an overwhelming passion for how pop culture intersects with digital media and the role social media plays in an ever-evolving music industry. This person will report to the Head of Digital and will work out of the Philymack offices in West Hollywood, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Content Development: Produce and post content for artists' social media profiles, websites and apps. Liaise with artists and managers to develop content that is unique to the artist and their aesthetic.
• Social & Site Management: Maintain and update artists' websites and social media profiles with current information and the latest features.
• Creative Marketing and Revenue Development: Grow artist awareness, site traffic and content syndication through third-party editorials, feature placements, social media strategies, marketing programs, D2C initiatives, contests/sweepstakes and more.
• Reporting & Analysis: Compile and distribute weekly reports to internal team, artists, and external partners. Utilize data to evaluate campaign efficacy. Keep a detailed calendar of events, campaigns, and appearances. Use community management and online listening tools to collect feedback from fans and adjust strategy accordingly.
• Industry Evolution: Be aware of emerging digital trends and identifying if and how to integrate them into our strategy.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• Expert understanding of all major social media platforms and how they operate on a partner level
• 2-4 years of experience managing social media for an entertainment brand or individual
• Strong grasp of the English language and ability to write with creativity and finesse under tight deadlines
• Equally strong understanding of online slang and terminology being used by younger online demos
• Must have experience with Adobe Photoshop and basic photo editing
• Ability to independently manage one's time and prioritize multiple tasks in order
to meet associated deadlines
• Ability to work early mornings, late nights and/or weekends on a regular basis
• Ability to travel domestically on short notice
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a marketing, journalism, business or
entertainment-related field
• Must have borderline obsessive interest in music and entertainment
• Knowledge of video editing programs including Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere
a plus
• Artistic eye with experience in digital photography a plus
