Position Overview
The primary role of this position is to develop custom applications that improve productivity through a variety of programming languages and database platforms. This position will be responsible for optimizing how these applications integrate with existing BIBA infrastructure to enhance the overall vision of centralizing, organizing, and visualizing all business information while enabling real time access to analytics.
A qualified candidate will have the keen ability to prioritize tasks and exercise problem solving aptitude in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
• Develop, test, and support a variety of custom business applications.
• Work closely with our Senior System Programmer to enhance existing systems.
• Assist in expanding the Enterprise Data Warehouse architecture to facilitate a multitude of analytical views that span the landscape of business systems.
• Provide internal user support for a variety of business systems.
• Assist in the operational aspect of supporting BIBA functions during Phillies events.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Advanced Degree preferred.
• Experience with two or more of the following programming languages (e.g. Java, C#, HTML5, Node.js, jQuery, AngularJS, Swift, Python).
• Experience with relational database development including Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle in addition to proficient knowledge in SQL Programming, SSIS, and Visual Studio.
• Experience in developing and working with APIs (Application Programing Interface).
• Knowledge of and familiarity with data modeling using tools such as R.
• Familiarity or basic knowledge of Microsoft based products including Windows, Windows Server, and Microsoft Office. Linux experience is a plus.
• Mobile application development experience is a plus (iOS and/or Android platforms).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrate ability to exercise sound decision-making skills.
• Strong ability to work well with co-workers in a team environment.
• Ability to mentor and teach other staff members.
• Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work flexible hours to include holidays, weekends, and evenings as needed.
