Position Overview
The primary role of this position is to accelerate the growth of a self-service strategy for the Business Intelligence and Analytics department. This position will be responsible for supporting the Business Intelligence and Analytics infrastructure. In addition, this position will assist in maintaining packaged software, along with developing custom applications through a variety of programming languages and database platforms.
A qualified candidate will have the keen ability to prioritize tasks and exercise problem solving aptitude in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
• Assist the Director and Manager of Business Intelligence and Analytics with a variety of projects that span the landscape of the organization.
• Provide internal user support for the following systems but not limited to: SAP Business Objects, SAP Predictive Analytics, Enterprise Data Warehouse, Financial System, and Payroll System.
• Assist in expanding the Enterprise Data Warehouse architecture to facilitate a multitude of analytical views that span the landscape of business systems.
• Develop, test, and support a variety of custom software applications that support all business applications within the business side of the organization.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field. Advanced Degree preferred.
• Object-Oriented programming experience (e.g. .NET, Java, Swift).
• Experience in data modeling using tools such as R and/or Python.
• Knowledge of and familiarity with emerging web standards (e.g. HTML5).
• Experience with relational database development including Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014 and/or Oracle in addition to proficient knowledge in SQL Programming, SSIS, and Visual Studio.
• Familiarity or basic knowledge of Microsoft based products including Windows, Windows Server, and Microsoft Office. Linux experience is a plus.
• Mobile application development experience is a plus (iOS and/or Android platforms).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrate ability to exercise sound decision-making skills.
• Strong ability to work well with co-workers in a team environment.
• Ability to mentor and teach other staff members.
• Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work flexible hours to include holidays, weekends, and evenings as needed.
