Assistant / Account Coordinator
Period Media is a boutique marketing and public relations agency working in the industries of fashion, accessories, home design, beauty, food & beverage and hospitality. Our firm is seeking entry-level and junior applicants to join our Los Angeles PR team as an Assistant. Applicants must possess superior verbal and written communication skills, be detail-oriented, motivated, and have the ability to multi-task, working both independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- General account coordination tasks including administrative and professional responsibilities
- Field telephone calls and inquiries
- Press kit development including writing press releases, compiling client imagery and organizing client information
- Develop and maintain contact database and media lists
- Interact with clients and media contacts via email and telephone
- Distribute press releases and pitches to media
- Maintain office and client calendars
- Coordinate media requests including client interviews, Q&A's, image requests, sample requests
- Oversee showroom pulls; coordinate with fashion stylists for various product loans.
- Support client events (may require flexibility with work hours)
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior professionalism, including handling of confidential information
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong motivation and follow-through.
- Ability to be comfortable interacting with clients - in person, over the phone and via email.
- Solid organizational skills; ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once; multi-tasking between various clients and activities
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office programs
- Candidates would have previous assistant work or internship experience in the fields of marketing and/or PR.
- Candidates should possess interest in fashion, design, beauty, food, media, etc.
