WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR
PEDG is looking for a master 3D modeler with a background in Cinema 4D including lighting, texturing, and animation. Vectorworks or other CAD familiarity is preferred. We want A-Players who can produce high quality renderings and animations under tight deadlines, working efficiently to be able to balance detail and precision with productivity. An understanding of architectural and theatrical design standards, materials, lighting, and the impact of these in the entertainment industry is key to the success of this position. We want you to balance creative input while still following internal and client preferences with regards to textures, colors, style, décor, etc. This is a full- time, in-house position out of our Lancaster, Pennsylvania location. All interested applicants are to submit a cover page and resume .
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Model 3D performance environments based on 2D concept sketches or 3D Vectorworks exports
• Create design renderings and animations utilizing Cinema 4D
• File exchange between Cinema 4D and After Effects
• Create presentation documents for internal and external use
• Attention to detail in regards to revision feedback
• Participate and take notes in department meetings
• Maintain and contribute to the department process (i.e. templates, workflow, archiving, etc.)
• Manage and maintain PEDG digital 3D library
• Project research and development
• Time Management
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
• 3D modeling software, specifically Cinema 4D
• Video editing and creation software, such as Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects
• Animation, cinematography, and editing experience
• Background in scene lighting in C4D for live events
• Work constructively in a team-based, collaborative environment
COMPETENCIES (PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED)
• IT and networking experience
• Adobe Photoshop and InDesign experience
• Lighting, stage, scenic design background
