Seeking a full-time personal assistant, leading to law assistant, for boutique NYC entertainment law firm, which represents actors, directors, writers and playwrights.
Previous entertainment industry experience and familiarity with NY and LA agents, managers and other industry professionals is a plus but not mandatory.
Applicants should be bright, motivated and eager to work in the entertainment industry.
Position is one of the first points of contact for the firm and will be expected to speak with clients, agents and other professionals. Given this, the ideal candidate needs to be happy, joyful and have a decent sense of humor. Must be good on the phone and with people, and proactive. Candidate must also be very detail-oriented, very organized and adapt ably to a hectic day with shifting priorities.
Position is administrative - e.g., managing calendar, drafting correspondence, and rolling calls, in addition to being responsible for personal assistant duties for a partner of the firm.
Work environment is casual, friendly and rewards hard work both in terms of compensation and assistance in pursuing any other industry goals.
