TakePart com is seeking an experienced manager and copywriter to create awesome branded content for sponsored campaign projects and internal campaigns that support Participant Media films and Pivot TV cable programming. Projects will include creating client-driven branded content that appears on TakePart com, as well as digital marketing content around major documentary and narrative films. The ideal candidate has a track record of creating content packages using a variety of formats, including articles, videos, photo galleries, and infographics do deliver multimedia campaign packages. Candidates should have a history of managing others and balancing multiple projects at once in a deadline-oriented environment.
TakePart aims to go a cut deeper, beyond breaking news, to discover how the big topics of the day touch people's lives, and offer the audience opportunities to participate in change. We're looking for the right leader to grow our branded content and support our award-winning digital content and films. The right candidate with a sharp eye for creative, audience-grabbing headlines, stories and videos that go viral in an instant will help us lead the way.
Support the overall vision, mission and mandates for the company.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with partners both internal (Pivot & Participant marketing/creative, ad sales, social action) and external (sponsors, studios) to create content-driven solutions to marketing and promotional needs
• Ensure all sponsored and partner-related content meets TakePart's editorial standards
• Write copy and manage writers to support content series
• Manage a small team and delivery of content calendar
• Work with Editorial Director, Deputy Editor and Editor in Chief to ensure editorial calendar is optimized for sponsorship opportunities
• Liaise with product/design team and photo editor to execute microsites and other sponsor/campaign deliverables
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in marketing, communications or related field
• 5+ years in marketing/communications field
• Strong project management experience
• Strong writing and line-editing skills
• Strong management and interpersonal skills
• Ability to deliver large projects on deadline
• This position requires a highly collaborative and business-minded individual with experience interfacing with clients and managing interdepartmental relationships
