COORDINATOR, SCHEDULING AND ACQUISITIONS - PIVOT
Pivot is a new TV network that uses entertainment to spark discussion and inspire change. From the people who brought you Lincoln, The Help, An Inconvenient Truth, Contagion, Waiting for Superman, Good Night and Good Luck and The Cove, Pivot offers TV audiences original comedies, dramas, talk shows, documentaries, movies and popular syndicated series that are connected to social themes and issues of importance.
Support the overall vision, mission and mandates for the company.
Responsibilities:
• Work with Director, Programming Acquisitions to screen and catalog programming submissions
• Maintain Submissions Database (FilmTrack)
• Work closely with VP, Multi-platform Scheduling and Research to strategize scheduling of programs in non-prime dayparts.
• Enter program items, IDs, attributes, versions and formats accurately into SIMS so programming is available to schedule.
• Generate and distribute program scheduling reference documents for use throughout the network, including memos and Excel spreadsheets.
• Work with Scheduling team to generate monthly VOD schedules out of SIMS and communicate to Operations team
• Collaborate on sponsorship opportunity ideas for marketing partners in conjunction with ad sales, integrated marketing and consumer marketing groups, including the creation of documents summarizing these ideas.
• Ensure that program scheduling meets all proscribed deadlines.
Other duties/special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
• BA degree required.
• At least one year experience working in the television/film industry.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) a must.
• Experience working with databases preferred.
• Interest in social causes preferred.
