Support the overall vision, mission and mandates for the company.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute social action and advocacy campaigns for Participant Media Films.
• Assist in identifying social action themes opportunities for each film
• Conduct research for each film to understand issues, context and potential partners
• Participate in the social action and advocacy campaign development process for each film with internal and external stakeholders
• Assist in creating a full, multiplatform (on-line, events, etc.) campaign around pre-release, theatrical release, DVD release
• Assist in developing partnerships with NGOs, foundations and other campaign partners and executing various elements of the partnership(s)
• Manage the day-to-day operations of social action(s) and advocacy campaigns across platforms (i.e. film, digital, television)
• Create necessary materials (written and digital) to pitch campaign initiatives to executives, film partners, talent, and distributors
• Participate in meetings with distributors, talent, filmmakers, partner organizations and sponsors as needed
• Regularly convene and update internal and external stakeholders with relevant campaign information
• Evaluate and report on campaigns and outcomes (success of campaigns and success of each partnership)
• Liaise with all relevant divisions, as necessary, in campaign development and execution
• Work in partnership with Participant Digital to liaise on all aspects of the campaign's digital element.
• Communicate between digital product team and social action team to ensure all needs are met
• Build timelines and ensure deadlines are known and hit
• Support the development of appropriate online content for the campaigns
• Work across website and social media teams
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, English, PR or related field
• 1-3 years experience in marketing, cause-related work and/or entertainment
• Excellent written communication skills
• Results oriented with ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Team player, positive attitude, ability to be flexible in a changing environment
