INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION:
Involves FCP / After Effects, creating/updating/ helping with show bumpers and graphics, compressing/renaming/syncing footage, backing up and organizing media, prepping gear for shoots, processing time lapse footage, helping with b-roll shoots, light administrative work, occasional errands, research.
Very hands on-- room for learning and creative input. That being said we love people who are good at figuring things out-- have a bit of problem solving and troubleshooting in them and learn quickly. We also love interns that have good communication skills! Interns who know when to ask for help-- and know when to try to just figure it out. We're a very small production company so you'll get to do a variety of things. My interns in the past who've worked simultaneously as interns for other companies really liked the ability to get to be more involved here-- learn After Effects or how to shoot time lapse, or learn post work flows, actually get to help on the show-- pick out images or music we actually use in a show-- vs. just make copies and get coffee-- if you can handle more than that you will get it. A good environment in which to learn how to launch a career as an independent creative in the field (vs. an executive or someone in development etc.). If you want to direct, edit, or become a motion graphics artist, it could be a good fit for you.
After Effects experience a plus. Owning a MacPro laptop a plus. Photoshop familiarity preferred. Final Cut Pro familiarity a must. Tech savvy a must. Looking for someone who can commit for 2 months minimum and is a current student. School credit available / unpaid. Mileage paid for any errands. Car not required. 21 is a plus (under 21 interns can't work on anything poker show related).
Looking for interns (preferably on the quarter system) to work July-September or early August-September. We are also looking for Interns for the Fall Semester to ideally start early-mid August.
***Please write a cover letter and let us know why this sounds like a good fit for you, what experience you have in post-production, and if you're over 21.*** |
